Remember those movies and documentaries

I remember a friend asked me once 'Why you hate bollywood?' He was just curious about my thoughts against so called film industry. I had no words to describe my ill feelings towards the industry but I was confident that this film industry must be hated by every healthy mind back then. I haven't visited a cinema hall but watched many movies, documentaries, tv soaps on different platforms,Mostly on TV (I was fortunate enough to have a DD free dish). I almost never made choices (which movie to watch unlike most of you) for many reasons. I watched some of the best movies on DD national, DD India, DD Bharti, Lokshabha tv etc. I remember that I never watched full films with few exceptions. In most cases I don't remember the name of those films but I can say proudly that most of them were National award winners. Some films and documentaries were not in Hindi rather in Malayalam, Telugu, Arabic etc but with the help of subtitles & imagination i just watched with interest. Then I watched few good movies on Android (I remember my friends chatting about new releases in class but at that time I was as always not interested in movies. I never paid attention but when Rohit asked for company to help him watch a movie on his 4.4' Android. I nodded in yes. I watched 5 to 10 movies with him and Rahul. And i watched them till happy ending. I remember one movie was 'Life of Pi',Great graphics but that was not which was attracting me. (well I will not disclose the secret right now). After coming home from Patna I never watched any movie on Android until 2017 when I got my first smartphone. I realized that I have more options now as you can say in Physics' terms My entropy increased. I watched many documentaries. I downloaded many apps but my all time favourite chanel(2nd open secret) took me to a new world every time I watched 30 or 40 minutes documentaries. That was the time when I came across the news that Dev Patel is going to act in the biopic made after Srinivas Ramanujan. I was super excited and I watched it again and again. Though the movie has few irregularities but seeing Ramanujan on screen is totally different experience. I have watched all other (unfortunately  less than 10) documentaries on Ramanujan but movies are movies you know.
Well I am not comparing Bollywood to Hollywood, also will never compare but when your own industry fails to recognize the greatness of Ramanujan then why should anyone care.( I remind you that Tamil film industry made first movie on him in 2014). There are many more 'Mahapurush' (if i talk only about biopics) but film industry selects only those who can be commercialy hit.Mostly which qualify thier creteria.
Every weekend 1000 of movies from different regions and different languages get released. People flock to watch those movies, some of those are very good in every aspect but more than 90% of them are no less than shit. I don't want to comment on them but good movies whether they are very small budget films or large, needs appreciation. There are many regional industries in Bharat and some of them make really good movies which every citizen should watch if they have enough time and money to spare. Of course those not good for anything movies must be avoided.
Coming to to my friend's question, now I can answer him very confidently that why we must hate the current Bollywood mindset.
